LOOT.BET Dota Summit 12

The classic Dota Summit tournament is back yet again and as per usual the tournament is not too important or even serious, but set to be entertaining as always. This time, there are also a lot of interesting teams in attendance. World class teams Evil Geniuses, Fnatic and Team Liquid face opposition from the new project OG.Seed, the newly created Cloud9 with Jacky “EternalEnvy” Mao in the lead and a bunch of hungry Peruvians in the form of Thunder Predator. The tournament will be played in a relaxed environment, but with teams that are at a very high level, and several of them preparing for the upcoming major ESL One Los Angeles.

Dota Summit 12 Expectations

Evil Geniuses

The team brought in Abed "Abed" Yusop and Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev for the season and that has at least got the effect the team was looking for. A second place in ONE Esports Invitational and the same placement in the last major, DreamLeague, are really heavy results for the legendary organization that is now back in the world top. EC is one of the favorites in ESL One Los Angeles and it should lead to the team being really tagged for Summit 12. An EC that has the gas at the bottom should win this tournament without much hassle.

Team Liquid

Team Liquid is something of a roller coaster at the moment and behind them, they have two 5-6 finishes in the majors, but also one big failure as they failed to qualify for ESL One Los Angeles. The team can be excused by the fact that the EU qualification is rock hard for the moment and also other teams that Alliance and Nigma have suffered from this. Dota Summit 12 can be seen as a consolation prize and a chance to prove the team's actual competitive level. On a good day, the team can challenge the EC, but realistically a final would be a good result.

Fnatic

Feels like the best team in Southeast Asia at the moment, which says a lot. An unlucky exit in the last major should lead to the team being properly chopped for the next chance and Dota Summit 12 is the perfect chance to hone the game. If the team plays their best game that we sometimes saw in DreamLeague, they could very well go to a final and defeat EC as well.
