#HSH Week 8: Group D Preview
The last group of #HomeSweetHomes final week is upon us and as always we preview the teams. AGF Esport, Complexity Gaming, Hard Legion ...
#HomeSweetHome has reached its second week of play and today group B will play out. As per usual we will analyse the teams and make our predictions. Japaleno, forZe, Nordavind and Sprout will fight it out in Group A for the two spot to the playoffs and a chance at the total of $40,000 that gets awarded weekly. forZe had a great first week in the group stage of #HomeSweetHome where they convincingly beat Nordavind and Gambit Youngsters, but it would come to a quick stop in the playoffs, as Team Spirit made a huge comeback to knock forZe out. The second week is as such a chance for revenge for forZe who has the caliber to win it all. Almazer was the shining star of forZe last week, but the likes of xsepower, facecrack and FL1T needs to raise their individual level up a notch this week. Winning the group is the first step for forZe and anything else than that would be a disappointment.
The Swedes in Japaleno had a respectable showing last week as they demolished Movistar Riders in the opener game, but then suffered close losses to both North and Sprout. It’s fair to say that the group draw that time around was incredibly tough for Japaleno, but it isn't much better this time around. By no means does that say that Japaleno can’t reach the playoffs, but they will have to step up and play at their absolute best against either Sprout or forZe to do so. The opening game against Nordavind is also a must win game for the team, as a loss would be absolutely devastating. If the likes of FREDDyFROG and dezon can show same level as last week Japaleno has very good chances to reach a playoff spot, but it will be far from easy.
The first week of #HomeSweetHome was a disappointment for Nordavind who suffered two straight losses facing forZe and Virtus.Pro. The opening game against Japaleno will be crucial for Nordavind as a loss there very well might set them up to the same end result as last week. It’s also the most likely scenario in all honesty and seeing Nordavind proceeding to playoffs requires some real brain gymnastics, but it ain’t over until the fat lady sings and we are sure Nordavind will want to prove them this time around.
Sprout had a convincing first week in #HomeSweetHome as they picked up impressive wins against Movistar Riders, Japaleno and SKADE, which lead them to a semifinal where the future winners BIG were too strong to overcome. Sprout went through a hard battle for the playoff spot last week with Japaleno and most likely we are looking at the same situation here, but it’s far from certain the outcome will be the same. Dycha, oskar and faveN once again has to step up big time, just to make the playoffs, but if they reach all the way there Sprout does have what it takes to do some damage, even if they are a bit behind the top dogs.
