#HSH Week 8: Group D Preview
The last group of #HomeSweetHomes final week is upon us and as always we preview the teams. AGF Esport, Complexity Gaming, Hard Legion ...
#HomeSweetHome is about to start its third week of play today after a small break. As per usual we will analyse the teams and make our predictions. AGO, forZe, Mustang Crew and Salamander Gaming will fight it out in Group B for the two spot to the playoffs and a chance at the total of $40,000 that gets awarded weekly. Mustang Crew and Salamander Gaming are both new to #HomeSweetHome and while Mustang Crew got invited, Salamander Gaming went through a long battle in the qualifiers to get their spot. Both AGO and forZe needs to step up, with their previous performances in #HomeSweetHome being disappointments. Below we will review all four teams and give our final predictions on how we think they will fare. If you want to read more about #HomeSweetHome and the tournament as a whole head over to our event page! AGO has had a rough time in #HomeSweetHome this far as they have failed to reach playoffs twice in a row, and they have themselves to blame as they couldn’t deliver when it was needed twice over. For the third week AGO can call themselves lucky as they have ended up in an easy group, with only forZe being ranked over them. With the newcomers Mustang Crew and Salamander Gaming they will for certain be favoured to move on this time, but with how they have been looking lately it certainly isn’t a sure thing. The veterans Furlan and GruBy has rotated players in and out of this team for a long time now, and the question is if they should switch players again, or if it might be time to give this project up completely? Honestly, it’s probably time for the latter. forZe has been one of the favourites in the previous weeks of #HomeSweetHome, but this time around they take a step back, at least in our rankings. In the second week forZe did qualify themselves to the semifinal, but eventually had to drop out due to other commitments. So far, so good, but following the second week of #HomeSweetHome they have had some really tough games including three straight 0-2 losses to Team Spirit, Nemiga and Gambit Youngsters. That simply is not good enough and even if we strongly believe they will reach playoffs, it’s only due to the group draw being exceptionally weak. It’s sad to see this team not getting it together as players like xsepower, facecrack and especially FL1T has great potential. If forZe can’t miraculously get themselves together they won’t reach very far and after two weeks of believing in them we are moving them down the tier list. Mustang Crew are new to #HomeSweetHome and there isn’t much to judge them by either. They have played four official games this far together, and they have lost them all. When the opponents have been BLUEJAYS, Singularity, Hard Legion and NAVI Junior, there isn’t much to say besides that they should have close to 0 chance to achieve anything in #HomeSweetHome. If they can bring home one win, that would be a huge success in our books. The saving grace for this team, and the only thing that makes them worth following is that the legend Dosia is back to play CS:GO. Memes and jokes aside Dosia was an amazing player in the early days of the game, and even if that’s not the level he is on today, it will be a pleasure to watch this team whatever the result. As much as we hope for the best for Dosia and his newfound buddies this can only end one way - at the bottom of the table. This full Hungarian lineup has been together since april of 2019, with torzsi and kory joining at the end of the year. As much as they haven’t achieved all that much yet, they can at least show up some decent results in series wins. Wins against teams such as Vexed, SKADE, Syman and Tricked does prove that this young squad has some potential and now they hope to show that in #HomeSweetHome as one of the newcomers. It won’t be easy, but they have drawn a suitable group for them to create an upset. Realistically the second place in the group is between them and AGO and Salamander should have decent chances to upset a team who is falling apart as hard as they are. It would be a great success for the youngsters in Salamander to reach the playoffs and we think they might just do that, but it will definitely require them to show their best side. Looking at their past results we want to highlight torzsi as the player to follow. He has been putting up great numbers for his team time after time and as a 17 year old it’s very impressive. The stakes and opposition and rises quite a bit in #HomeSweetHome and it will be a great test for the youngster.
