The LCS is going into it’s 8th week this weekend and there are a lot of teams still able to qualify for playoffs. With 4 games left to play and a really volatile table, honestly anything can happen. Dignitas and CLG are more than likely out of the running but every other team still has hope. Every match going forward is important, except for CLG vs Dignitas technically, and as such we should expect to see some really quality games. Okay so TSM and FLY are in the running to clinch the second place spot and TSM rolled a tough opponent in IMT to start off the week. Some people say IMT is already locked into playoffs but I think I’m going to challenge that theory, they are going to go 2-2 these next two weeks and miss playoffs. When it comes to TSM, TSM is hot off a 2-0 week against the original top 2 teams in C9 and FLY. Last time these two faced it was a nearly hour long battle that IMT stole away from TSM. As long as TSM are still in form, IMT won’t last 30 minutes. I see the Thieves going to the playoffs, but part of me sees their schedule and just… it looks too hard. 100T have to win at least 2 games to get a tie breaker and 3 to secure a playoff spot. Their first loss these next two weeks comes here with C9 taking this rather easily. Team Liquid and EG are essentially fighting to keep their playoff dreams alive at this point. EG is a game up and it would do well for TL to win here. Honestly I would say EG are just looking better all around. But you know me by now, the 4 time champion team is in there somewhere and they basically have to go 4-0 to secure a spot. I think the miracle run starts here with EG. I don’t want to watch this game. It is sad to see either of these teams in such a hopeless battle. There is hope for DIG to reach the playoffs though and CLG can play spoiler the next two weeks free from stress, unless they magically go 4-0 and the teams above them all flop. I haven’t checked my math on that but surely there's a world where CLG can make it, regardless i think DIG piles on the hurt in this match to slash any of those would be dreams down. This match could be for third place under the right circumstances but I don’t think it will be. FLY are still sitting above IMT in the standings and after TSM are through with them I’m sure FLY will carry out the tie they have with TSM. These two teams are not currently tied, but they share the same scoreline. GG have the current head to head and they are going to have to fight hard to keep it, and their playoff hopes, alive. Tactical or Doublelift, Huhi or Keith, I really think only one of them can make it through and that’s TL at the end of the day. Not so much a spoiler match but I’m expecting this to be the most entertaining game of the weekend really. The number one seed set to look like wolves chasing after the last place team with nothing more to lose but their spot on the roster. Draft should be pretty strange, but not due to disrespect or throwing, just because neither team really has anything left to play for. C9 should still come out on top no matter what though. By now, EG and DIG are getting nervous, a loss here could mean no more playoff hopes for DIG while a loss here for EG could force them into 6th place indefinitely. I feel like this shouldn’t be as hard to call as it is but with EG underperforming so badly it doesn’t make too much sense selecting them as the favorites to win, but here we are. DIG are too tilted, maybe they bring in the rest of the academy roster to fill out the ranks… you know, just to see. 100 Thieves don’t really need to win this one, but FLY really does in order to keep in the race for that second seed. This game is more about FLY vs TSM than FLY vs 100 Thieves. That being said the race should remain close as FLY shouldn’t lose this game when putting it plainly. Dang, all of Monday is more about FLY vs TSM than anything else and the two don’t even face each other. This is the game that kills GG’s hopes for Playoffs but honestly, they did amazing this year and Goldenglue and the squad did their best. If they win here then I’d consider them the true dark horse for 6th place but I’m not holding my breath. The biggest week is going to be week 9, there are many different variations of what could happen today but even if our poor 33-37 record gets even more gutted, there aren’t many more storylines to go over.
